The death of our monarch, Queen Elizabeth II

A statement from the Association of Christian Teachers

We have been incredibly fortunate to have lived in the time of Queen Elizabeth ll, a monarch deeply rooted in her faith. The Queen exemplified a life of dignified and humble service, putting others before herself and often serving without regard to personal cost.

We remember her family in our prayers, that they might be comforted and sustained in the challenging days ahead, and we pray also for King Charles lll that he might seek and know God's wisdom in all he does.

Most of all, from what we have witnessed as a nation in her remarkable life and as we have often heard in her words of dependence on God, we rejoice in this trust that her faith in Christ has now carried her into the presence of Almighty God, the King of all kings.
